everal people
have asked us about the meaning of Ben-Mo Limited and the two beautifully
executed characters, which make up the company logo. The characters were used
in earliest classical writings and represent the roots and branches of a tree.
The underlying concept is that the roots are essential to the existence of
the branches. If we concentrate on the essentials in everything we do, we
will achieve the desired end result.
The members of the small specialist team at Ben-Mo Limited have actively
participated in the promotion and development of tourism from the whole of
Europe to China since the 1970's. They have close links with the Chinese tourist
authorities at both national and local level, as well as access to many state
organizations and independent enterprises. They have travelled extensively
in China, speak Chinese and English and have also written about China - contributing
to guide books and writing other promotional and information materials.
Through the years they have been involved in a wide range of pioneering activities:
- Opening new border crossings between China and the former Soviet Union
- organizing fashion shoots
- trade exhibitions
- travel trade seminars and familiarization trips
- specialist itineraries for every interest from steam railways to snuff bottles,
farmers to landscape gardeners
- incentive groups
- common interest groups such as University of the Third Age, the League of Jewish
Women, Alumni groups, readership groups
As we have not only worked behind the scenes but have also accompanied groups, this breadth of experience makes us more sympathetic to travellers' needs. We recognise the need for a little free time - itineraries in China are often hectic and packed, with no time to stand and stare. There should be some time for shopping but not too much. Food should where possible be interesting and local delicacies should all be tasted!
We also believe that one of the most enjoyable ways to travel is with a group of like-minded people who share common aims and interests.
French, Italian and German are also spoken and enquiries are welcome from all corners of the world.
